THE HOODLE were formed around 10 years ago and the four members have many years of touring, performing & recording experience under their belts, including collaborations with Sutherland Brothers & Quiver, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, and with singer-songwriters such as Ralph McTell, Al Stewart & Kirsty MacColl.
Steve Turner - Guitars/Slide & Vocals
Started in music with his Dad, Ken Turner who was a celebrated band leader in Blackpool in the days of the dance bands and first played the bass on a bandstand at aged 12. He is now a celebrated slide and lap steel guitar picker and has featured with Kirsty MacColl, Ralph McTell, and Kneehigh Theatre as well as appearing with Simon Latarche and Viv Rod.
Tim Renwick - Acoustic guitar & Vocals
His work in the '70s and early '80s with bands and artists including Eric Clapton, Elton John, David Bowie, Dionne Warwick, The Bee Gees, Kenny Rogers, Roger Waters, Paul McCartney, Little Richard, Mike & The Mechanics and Pink Floyd ensured that he developed a fan following all of his own.
Tim was part of the Sutherland Brothers and Quiver. They wrote some of the best songs of the seventies including the hit single "Lying in the Arms of Mary". Tim then went on to play with Pink Floyd on tours for “Delicate Sound of Thunder” and “The Division Bell” and “Live 8”.
Emma Spires - Acoustic Bass & Vocals
Started off playing classical guitar then moved on to bass. She has played on the Cornish music circuit since age 14. Emma was part of the band Blues Connection who played supports for Wilko Johnson, Larry Miller, and Little Feat. She has also played bass on UK tours with Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett from Little Feat, and occasionally with Phil Beer of Show Of Hands.
Willie Wilson - Drums, Percussion & Vocals
Also part of The Sutherland Brothers and Quiver, his early work had been with Cochise, who produced two fine albums, before he moved on to Quiver. After SBQ, Willie worked with the touring version of Pink Floyd, performing on the concerts and film sound track of “The Wall”, as well as playing on David Gilmour's first solo album and on “On an Island”. He has also performed and recorded with Lonnie Donegan, Syd Barret, Hank Wangford, Joe Brown and Ralph McTell. More recently, he worked with The Coyotes, an award winning country music band.
