LostFest - 11th May 2014

Relax in a soft armchair on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy live jazz played by some of Cornwall’s finest - all for FREE.

Lostwithiel Community Centre hosted a keenly awaited and exciting addition to LostFest in 2014 - a Jazz Cafe with a variety of musicians performing in the upstairs bar from 10.30am to 6.30pm.

Compere, poet and raconteur for the afternoon - the very famous Bert Biscoe.

10.30-11.00 - Bert Biscoe introduces Jazz Cafe with poems, chat and recorded music.

12.45-1.15 - Rachel Newton, Songs and Keyboard.

1.15-1.45 - Cornwall Youth Jazz Orchestra, 8 piece improvisation band, set one.

2.00-3.00 - Pocket Groove, Four Piece Student band from Truro College.

3.15-4.15 - Strange Brew, Rhythm and Blues band from way down west featuring Bluesy Harmonica and Saxophone.

4.30-5.00 - Carlton Crouch “Walks the Bar” with The Ibbotson, Hope and Hawkey Band.

5.15-5.45 - Cornwall Youth Jazz Orchestra, 8 piece improvisation band. Set two.

6.00-End - Lostwithiel Jazz Cafe All Stars jam session featuring many of today’s performers.
